How to rent a ChangiWiFi router

Steps of Singapore Wifi Router Rental

Steps to renting a ChangiWiFi router:

  • Fill in the online reservation form under the ‘Reserve Now’ tab.
    Reservations are required to be at least 3 days (72 hours) prior to your departure date.
  • After form submission, a confirmation email, along with the completed submission form, will be sent to your email address within 1 working day.
  • Please show or print out the confirmation email & reservation form at the counter that you have selected.

Pick-up At Changi Recommends Booths in Changi Airport

Collect your ChangiWiFi router device at your selected location as stated on the reservation form. Changi Recommends’ counter locations at Arrival Halls can be found here.

Things to prepare for router device collection:

  • Passport
  • Confirmation email with reservation form
  • Credit card (Visa/Mastercard/AMEX only)
    • Note: At the point of collection, a deposit of SGD50 on your credit card is required. This deposit is not a charge, it is an authorization hold which will be removed upon return of the router.
    • The authorization hold is released from your card (rendering the balance available again) from 14 working days, after the transaction date depending on cardholder’s issuing bank. In the case of some credit cards, holds may last as long as 30 days.

Steps on how to use & connect to the router:

1. Press & hold the power button on the router until the screen lights up.
2. Ensure your mobile device’s Wi-Fi function is switched on & search for the UID network from the router.
3. The password to connect can be found at the back of the router.

Return and Payment

  • Payment to made upon collection of the ChangiWiFi device at the respective Changi Recommends counter indicated on the reservation form.
    Note that collection can only be made at Arrival Hall.
  • Rental billing starts on the day the ChangiWiFi router is collected and ends on the day of return. (Router can be returned at any Changi Recommends counter)
  • Rental charges will be based on full days (not fractional days).
    E.g. if the device is collected on 1st Aug and returned to Changi Recommends counter on 5th August, you will be charged for a rental of 5 days.
  • For damages/lost/stolen items, the following charges will apply:
